The reason's behind my books

Born and raised in a town from North London. Youngest of five children, known as a dreamer by
my family. On YouTube I am known as Geiger's Gifts. I have three wonderful children who are
creative and very smart. I am so proud of them, every day they amaze me.

I have always wanted to write for children and young adults ever since was eight years old.
Reading books was my happy and safe place. It was my way to escape being bullied from my dad,
sister and school both verbally and physically.

I was always either writing on paper scraps, reading, going out bike riding on my chopper or
scrumpy picking fruit and getting stuck at the very tops of the trees screaming for my brother to
get me down.

My imagination was on fire whilst reading books like Charlie and the glass elevator and many
other books by Roald Dahl. The lion, the witch and the wardrobe by C.S. Lewis made me want to
explore everything, some strange adventures could happen looking in furniture with an overactive
imagination.

I love reading the adventures of the famous five and the secret seven stories by Enid Blyton. I
wanted so badly to be immersed in there pages and exploring with them solving mystery and
creating adventures with my family.

The thrill of reading R.L Stine books was always so scary and always had a twist when you thought
it was going to end very captivating.

Point Horror, Creepers and ghosts stories are still on my bookshelf today with my favourite
authors. I have also added Charlie Bone and The Red King series by Jenny Nimmo to my collection.
Being dyslexic I was always told I would never be able to write stories for others. My stories were
only fit for kindling, and yes many were fire lighters for my dad.

I honestly think that it just makes my imagination more wild and creative. I feel more appreciative
of the hard work of each author I have the pleasure of reading.
